The Community Thrift Shop has expanded! Now two Shops @ at 345 Main Street in Huntington. Same great bargains!
The Community Thrift Shop has been a mainstay of the Huntington retail district since the shop was founded in 1965 by local community groups who share a mission to serve those in need. Temporarily closed in 2020, The Community Thrift Shop reopened in July 2021 at its new location at 345 Main Street where it is conveniently located with easy access to parking and dining and opened a second location at the same address in November 2022 for childrenswear, maternity, home goods, small furniture and sporting goods.
All items have been generously donated and the shop is staffed by volunteers. Shoppers can find exceptional bargains including many designer and name brands of gently used and new women’s, men’s, children’s and maternity apparel, accessories, shoes, jewelry, handbags, home decor and small furniture and sporting goods. With secondhand shopping more popular than ever, The Community Thrift Shop welcomes existing patrons who have supported the shop since it was founded as well as new patrons, including Gen Z and sustainable fashion shoppers.
Every purchase made helps Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk provide charitable, compassionate care to families facing a health care crisis.
